A visit to the BunkArt 1 museum and Dajti National Park is a great way to spend a day in an attractive mountainous landscape outside and literally ‘above' the city.
Morning departure towards Tirana. Visit to the BunkArt - a museum inside a massive communist bunker. It is a 5 floors underground building with over 100 rooms, which was once intended to protect the communist dictator Enver Hoxha and his cabinet in case of a nuclear attack. Now it is transformed into a historical-artistic center which reflects the communist period, where you will have the opportunity to see the interior living quarters and meeting rooms, staged as they would have been at the time, along with photographic displays.
Next, transfer to National Dajti Park. A cable car ride to the Dajti mountain field. Short coffee break in one of the panoramic bars where you will admire the views of the city. Next we will leave on foot to the top of the Dajt mountain at the height of 1658 m, which lasts about 1 hour. After about 30-minute rest we will descend again on foot to the to the rest camp. Time for lunch in local restaurant.
Around 17:00 we take the cable car to go down to the station, from where we will take a bus to the hotel.
Trekking duration: approx. 2 hours, difficulty level: medium. Appropriate equipment is recommended (clothing, trekking shoes).
