The day begins with a departure from the Durres area in Albania. During the comfortable coach ride to Macedonia, you can enjoy the scenic route through mountains and charming villages.
Once across the border, sightseeing starts in the UNESCO-listed city of Ohrid, often called the “city of 365 churches.” Walking with your guide along its narrow stone streets, you’ll uncover the ancient theatre, dating back to classical Greece, and the Fortress of Tsar Samuel, which offers panoramic views over the lake and the town’s historic landmarks. Another highlight is the medieval Church of St. John at Kaneo (14th century), famous for its dramatic setting on a cliff above the lake.
Next, you’ll head down to the lakeside promenade, where you can relax by the water or take an optional boat tour on Lake Ohrid. From the boat, the city unfolds from a new perspective, with shimmering waters stretching to the horizon.
The excursion concludes with free time for shopping, strolling, or enjoying lunch at one of the local restaurants. After an eventful day, you’ll return to Durres with unforgettable memories and plenty of beautiful photos.
