Program Description
Full day trip including one of the oldest towns in Europe, located on a small peninsula, not far from the international summer resort Sunny Beach. The town bears witness to the development of several civilizations. There were more than 40 churches. Some of them are considered to be the most conserved buildings from the Middle ages on the Balkans. Nessebar is included in the UNESCO list of World heritage. Walk through the ancient town and visit to the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin with the famous miraculous icon of the Black Virgin, similar to the one in the Jasna Góra Monastery in the Polish city of Czestochowa.

A fantastic place. Anyone traveling to Bulgaria should visit Nessebar. The Byzantine buildings will make you feel like you`re in Italy.
Nessebar is a charming place. I give the entire tour a very good rating, but there is one downside. The guides don`t have any sound system, and we`re not provided with any microphones, so if you stand too far from the guide, you can`t hear what they`re saying, especially during walks or in noisy areas. The included lunch is quite tasty, but the fish is poorly seasoned, and there`s no option to change some of the dinner ingredients, such as fries instead of potatoes, so if you have children, take this into account. We bought a portion of fries so our picky eater could eat something. Before the main course, we were served a Shopska salad (cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers - fresh). I think the salad is fantastic and actually makes a great addition to the fish, as it overpowers the flavor. The ice cream served for dessert was decent, but not exceptional. We traveled from Golden Sands for the trip, and I have to admit, the view from the top of part of Sunny Beach is amazing, so bring your cameras. Oh, and the Messembria winery—a real treat! I highly recommend their wines. We took three bottles ourselves, but that was only because we miscalculated our luggage weight, as we almost exceeded our weight limit :D They offer delivery to Poland, but I think it`s around €20 for up to six bottles. Overall, I recommend it, and we`ll definitely take advantage of it if we have the opportunity.
