Kaliakra is one of the tourist attractions on the Northern Black Sea Coast. This prolonged and narrowing rocky peninsula offers breathtaking panoramic views worthy of Guinness. The Kaliakra steep slopes descend into the water. Here the waves have carved caves and arches in their foot, and flocks of storks, pelicans and cranes fly here on their Via Pontica Way in the autumn. A thriving town with castle walls and martial towers stretched here in the ancient times. Many legends are associated with the Kaliakra Cape. The most famous of them tells the story of 40 Bulgarian girls, led by the Beauty Kaliakra, who jumped off the cliff into the sea to save themselves from the Ottoman Turks. Surely, the time for photos will not be enough for you. The combination of ancient history and the romance of the sea is amazing. Continuing further along the road, you will stop by a pottery workshop. Here you will find colourful ceramic souvenirs. Balchik is the next stop in our programme where the houses are picturesquely perched on the steep slopes, and the sea view is simply admirable. You will visit Queen Mary’s summer residence, her favourite marble throne and the Bridge of Sighs. During the walk through the botanical garden, you will see exotic plants such as holm oak, rubber tree, Japanese raisin tree, evergreen magnolia, giant cacti, spring and summer flowers, twisting lianas, alpine and aquatic plants, ferns and flowering shrubs. No, you're not in the heaven! The smiling girl is inviting you for a short tasting at the local winery, and the chance to buy a fragrant wine is not to be missed.
