Program Description

Trekking along the volcanic trail that runs from El Refugio del Pilar to Fuencaliente. During this tour, the volcanic landscape shows contrast, from the green of the Canarian pines, through the black trails of lava, to the yellow, red and brown shades of the volcanic terrain. The route runs along the volcanic ridge that divides the south of La Palma into two parts - eastern and western. If there is a good visibility, you can see Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro in the distance. Next, the path leads around the Pico Birigoyo volcano, slowly leads up to La Deseada (1933 m above sea level), where we will see other volcanic craters - Hoyo Negro and Duraznero - two volcanoes that erupted in 1942. Level: Hard. Duration of the trek: 7 hours. Distance: 17 km.
