Program Description

An afternoon tour of Cartagena awaits you - a city known as the “Pearl of the Caribbean”, whose historic center and walled old town are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique destination combines colonial architecture, Caribbean charm, and a romantic atmosphere that has captivated visitors for centuries.

The experience begins with a visit to the impressive San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, one of the most powerful military structures ever built in South America. During a guided walk, you will explore its tunnels and defensive walls while learning about the city’s strategic importance and turbulent past. From the top of the fortress, you can enjoy panoramic views of Cartagena, offering a deeper perspective on its historic layout.

You will then continue to the walled old town, where colorful balconies, blooming flowers, and beautifully preserved colonial buildings line narrow, winding streets. As you stroll through this atmospheric area, you will feel the magic of Cartagena, where history blends seamlessly with everyday life and the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean.

The tour also includes a guided walk through Getsemaní, one of the city’s most authentic and dynamic neighborhoods. Rich in stories dating back to the colonial era, Getsemaní stands out for its cultural character, lively street art, local shops, and traditional gastronomy. After the guided visit, you will have some free time to explore on your own, take photos, or relax in one of the many charming cafés.

Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
