Program Description

Croatia’s coastline is home to many places rich in history and atmosphere. Split and Trogir are two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where ancient landmarks and medieval architecture create a unique backdrop to everyday life. During this excursion, you will discover the most fascinating corners of both of these remarkable destinations.

The first stop on our journey will be Split, one of the most important cities on the Croatian coast. At its heart lies the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, built at the turn of the 4th century for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Today, this monumental complex is full of life, with shops, cafés, restaurants and charming alleyways nestled within its historic walls. As you wander through the stone-paved streets, you will discover a place that has captivated visitors with its unique character for centuries.

After the guided sightseeing, you will have free time to explore Split at your own pace. Take a stroll through the old town, browse the local shops, sample regional cuisine in one of the restaurants or enjoy a coffee along the famous Riva promenade, a favourite meeting place for locals.

Before reaching our next destination, we will stop at Pantana Mlinice, where you can enjoy a short break and a light snack in a picturesque setting surrounded by nature and the tranquil landscapes of the Dalmatian coast.

Next, you will visit Trogir, a small town with an exceptionally rich history. Its medieval streets, stone palaces, historic squares and churches make every walk feel like a journey back in time. The town’s most famous landmark is the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, regarded as one of Croatia’s finest architectural masterpieces. It was the outstanding collection of Romanesque and Renaissance buildings that earned Trogir its UNESCO World Heritage status in 1997.

This excursion offers a wonderful opportunity to experience two different sides of Dalmatia - vibrant Split, with its remarkable Roman heritage, and Trogir, a town renowned for its timeless historical charm.

The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
