Program Description

Arrival in Geroskipou and a visit to the Agia Paraskevi Orthodox Church, internationally recognized as an unique example of Byzantine architecture. A visit to a small local factory that produces Cypriot sweets. You will observe the process of making traditional Loukoumi, which you will then be able to taste. Then drive to ancient Kourion, which was once one of the most important and impressive cities in Cyprus. Visit the famous Greco-Roman amphitheater. Next stop is a visit to the village of Omodos, where the Holy Cross Monastery with its icons and stunning wood carvings is located. After a traditional lunch, drive through the Troodos Mountains to a local winery - a chance to sample Cypriot wines. Finally, Petra tou Romiou - the Rock of Aphrodite, believed to be the birthplace of this ancient Greek goddess. Return to the hotel.
