Program Description

Here’s a chance to travel deep inside the island’s interior to see and experience traditional mountain villages and forested landscapes not often visited by tourists. Our adventurous itinerary uses a combination of small asphalt roads and well-maintained dirt tracks to bring Nature and culture together. Our goal is to show you the best and most real side of Cyprus and to provide maximum contact with local people. Starting the excursion with short walks through ethnic villages with narrow streets and great stone architecture spectacular views and a chance to visit a traditional kafenio for a refreshment or a Cyprus coffee. Journey continues deep into the Troodos Forests to visit an amazing stone bridge, built by the Venetians over an actively flowing stream. There's an optional change for a small mini trek through the forest on the way to the river. We continue through pine forests as we make our way to Cyprus’ most fantastic natural wonder, a waterfall with ice cold mountain water cascading down a rocky cliff. This paradise-like spot, with its lush vegetation and cool spring waters, will relax both your body and soul. Finally, the main village in Limassol wine growing area – Omodos Village. Free time to explore the village. Stroll around the cobbled streets or relax and try a ‘Cyprus’ coffeeshop. Alternatively, you may visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross established by Saint Helena in the year 327 ac. Then visit Petra tou Romiou, Aphrodite’s mythical birthplace, for swimming (only in summer) and memorable photos. Then lunch in mountain village taverna. Memorable lunch featuring an array of freshly prepared local dishes including vegetarian options. Return to the hotel.
