An experience-filled journey beyond London awaits you, during which you will discover some of the most important landmarks of southern England. This tour is a perfect combination of history, architecture and spectacular landscapes.
The day begins with a pick-up from selected locations in central and west London. During the drive, the guide will introduce you to the fascinating stories behind the places you are about to visit. The first stop is Canterbury - a city of exceptional religious and cultural importance. During a walk through the historic centre, you will enter Canterbury Cathedral (if this option is chosen), one of the most significant sacred sites in England and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also have free time to explore the charming streets and soak up the atmosphere at your pace.
Next, the journey continues to Dover, home to the impressive Dover Castle, one of the most essential and largest defensive fortresses in England. As you explore its interiors, you will uncover fascinating stories of past conflicts and the strategic role this site once played. A particular highlight are the underground tunnels, from which Operation Dynamo - the Dunkirk evacuation during the Second World War - was coordinated.
The day concludes with a visit to one of England’s most iconic natural symbols - the White Cliffs of Dover. A short walk with the guide will take you to a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the majestic chalk cliffs and the vast North Sea. It’s a perfect moment for photos. After saying goodbye to Dover, you will return to London, with the tour ending near London Bridge.
