A trip through Kos Island, which offers the opportunity to explore the island, admire the beauty and taste the flavors of the island. The taste adventure starts in the authentic village Mylotop, located in Kefalos village. Mylotopi consists of various traditional buildings (bakery, house, windmill, Aloni, old Italian bunker tunnel) together with a traditional restaurant, which all together compose a characteristic sample of architecture of the islands’ identity of Dodecanese region. Guests can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view while having refreshments or a coffee during their visit. The adventure continues to the honey workshop as well located in Kefalos where guests will be able to see and learn about the collection and procession of honey from bees. They will have the opportunity to taste some traditional sweet with honey and be able to buy some homemade honey. The guests can extend the tasting adventure during the next visit to the Olive Oil workshop where there will be a presentation of the traditional olive oil production. Continuing our road trip to the peaks of mount Dikaios, full of amazing views, our guests reach a traditional local tavern in Zia village to satisfy their appetite. Arriving in our selected traditional Greek Taverna “Avli” they will be welcomed and offered an anise-flavored spirit called ouzo. In the kitchen of the restaurant guests can have the unique opportunity to watch and learn how to cook one of the most famous typical Greek dish named mousaka. Once seen the cooking procedure clients can walk around the village, buy some souvenirs in the small traditional shops and take photos of the amazing view. Walking back to the taverna our guests can have the taste of the ready cooked mousaka they made themselves. The Experience continues and ends with a wine tasting in the famous Winery Triantafyllopoulou, where guests enjoy the fine wines of the island.
