Visit the mythical home of the Greek gods - the mighty Mount Olympus. Drive through the plain of Central Macedonia to the Archaeological Park of Dion. Built at the foot of Mount Olympus, Dion was a religious center and holy city of the Kingdom of Macedonia. The program includes a tour of the ruins of the ancient city and a temple dedicated to Zeus, and a visit to the Dion museum, which features items from local excavations and the surrounding area. Among them are statues, mosaics, tomb stones, votive offerings and a unique hydraulis, which is believed to be the oldest keyboard instrument in the world. Then drive to Litochoro, one of the most beautiful mountain villages. On the way, stop at the Information Center of the Olympus National Park. Free time for lunch in a traditional Greek tavern. Finally, visit the picturesque village of Litochoro and walk through the Enipea Gorge (about 2 hours).
