Staying on Zakynthos, but want to see more? Book this excursion and discover wild, green, and often underrated Kefalonia.
Your day begins with a transfer to the port on Zakynthos, from where you’ll sail to Kefalonia. The first stop is Drogarati Cave, with its impressive chambers full of stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is renowned for its exceptional acoustics – concerts could be held here without any amplification.
Not far away lies Melissani Lake, hidden inside a cave. Sunlight streaming through the collapsed roof makes the water shimmer in shades of turquoise, blue, and emerald – a sight truly beyond words.
Next, it’s time to relax. You’ll stop at the small port of Agia Efimia, where you can enjoy delicious Greek specialities in a local taverna (lunch not included). Afterwards, stretch your legs with a visit to the famous Myrtos Beach, which appeared in the film Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
The journey continues to Assos, a peaceful and picturesque village of colourful houses nestled among green hills. Here you’ll have some free time to stroll, enjoy a coffee, or shop for souvenirs.
During the day, you’ll also take part in a tasting of local delicacies – the perfect chance to try honey, olive oil, and sweet treats straight from local producers.
Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
