The route takes you through a city filled with distinctive architecture, lively streets and landmarks that shape the unique character of the Hungarian capital. Hop off wherever you would like to spend more time, then simply board the next bus when you are ready to continue sightseeing.

As you travel, admire Budapest from the upper deck and use the digital commentary to learn more about the sights you pass and the city itself. The hop-on hop-off format gives you the freedom to plan your day and decide which parts of Budapest you would like to explore in more detail.

The ticket also includes a walking tour and a river cruise, giving you the chance to experience Budapest from different perspectives. Combine your double-decker bus journey with a walk through the city streets and views from the boat to discover even more of the Hungarian capital.

River cruise

  • The cruise lasts approximately 60 minutes.
  • Cruises depart at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 17:30, 19:00, 20:00, 20:30 and 21:30.
  • To join the cruise, head to Dock 6 at Pesti alsó rkp. 8, 1052 Budapest. Look for the red Big Bus sign. The nearest hop-on hop-off bus stop is Stop #13.
  • Before boarding, present your ticket to a Big Bus Tours staff member.
  • An audio guide is available in 8 languages during the cruise.
  • You can take the river cruise once with your ticket.


Walking tour

  • The walking tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and is conducted in English.
  • It starts at 11:00 at Stop #1 (Basilica) and finishes at Stop #2 (Chain Bridge).
  • Before joining the walking tour, present your ticket to a Big Bus Tours staff member.
