Program Description

Get ready for a full day of Italian landscapes, history and flavours that best reflect the spirit of Tuscany. This trip combines visits to atmospheric medieval towns, insight into local traditions and relaxation among rolling hills, finished with a Chianti wine tasting.

The journey begins at Roma Termini railway station, where a high-speed train takes the group directly to Florence. Upon arrival, the tour leader will be waiting, and the discovery of Tuscany will begin. From the very first moments, the views of the rolling hills of the Chianti region, one of Italy’s most renowned wine areas, set the tone for the day.

The first stop is Monteriggioni - a small yet exceptionally well-preserved medieval town surrounded by impressive defensive walls. Free time allows for a walk along stone streets and a chance to experience the atmosphere of past centuries, when the city served as a strategic fortress.

The next highlight is Siena - a city of remarkable history and architecture. Accompanied by a local guide, the tour explores the most important corners of the historic centre, including views of the exterior of Palazzo Pubblico, the elegant Torre del Mangia, and the surroundings of the impressive Piazza del Duomo

The route then continues to San Gimignano, known as the Town of Towers. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town is celebrated for its unique collection of medieval towers that still dominate the surrounding landscape. You'll have time to wander through charming streets, visit local shops, and admire classic Tuscan scenery.

The experience concludes in the peaceful Chianti countryside with a visit to a traditional winery. In an idyllic rural setting, guests will enjoy a tasting of Chianti red wine accompanied by local snacks, creating a perfect ending to a day filled with culture, scenery, and authentic Italian flavours.

The order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
