Program Description

Exploring Rome and Vatican City would hardly be complete without a visit to the Vatican Museums – one of the most important and most visited museum complexes in the world. Every year, millions of visitors come here to admire extraordinary works of art collected by the popes over centuries. It is a unique opportunity to discover one of the richest art collections in Europe and immerse yourself in the history, culture and heritage of the Vatican.

During your visit, you will walk through impressive galleries filled with paintings, sculptures, tapestries and valuable artefacts from different periods and cultures – from ancient Egypt and Greece to masterpieces of the Renaissance. Among the highlights are works by great masters such as Michelangelo, Raphael and Caravaggio, as well as pieces by later artists including Van Gogh and Matisse. As you move through the museum corridors, you will also see elegant courtyards and peaceful gardens hidden between the galleries.

One of the most memorable moments of the visit is entering the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s famous ceiling frescoes – some of the most iconic artworks in the world. This extraordinary place has inspired visitors for centuries with its grandeur and unique atmosphere.

The tour begins early in the morning, allowing you to visit the main highlights before the largest crowds arrive. In a small group of up to 20 people, you will explore the complex at a comfortable pace while an English-speaking guide shares fascinating insights into the history of the museums and their most important masterpieces. The programme also includes a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most significant churches in Christianity.

The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
