Program Description

Scattered islands, turquoise waters and wild, untouched coves – the La Maddalena Archipelago is one of the most beautiful areas in Sardinia. It’s a great way to explore several unique spots in one day while enjoying time close to nature.

The trip begins from one of the ports in northern Sardinia – Laconia, Cannigione, Palau or Baja Sardinia. During the cruise, you’ll pass the island of Santo Stefano before reaching La Maddalena, the main island of the archipelago. There will be free time to walk around the town, browse local craft shops or simply enjoy the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.

The island also has an interesting history. In the town hall, you can see an unexploded cannonball from Napoleon’s expedition. Local museums display sacred art collections and memorabilia connected to Admiral Horatio Nelson, who visited this area.

The next part of the day is spent cruising between the islands of the archipelago. You’ll stop at Spargi and Santa Maria, where there is time for swimming in crystal-clear waters and relaxing on sandy beaches. One of the highlights is Cala Corsara – a picturesque bay known for its wind-shaped rock formations resembling unusual figures.

Along the way, you’ll also see Manto della Madonna – a stretch of sea famous for its intense shades of blue. The route continues along the island of Budelli, known for its pink beach. Due to environmental protection, landing is not allowed, which helps preserve its unique character.

On the way back, you’ll enjoy views of the Sardinian coastline – Punta Sardegna, Porto Raphael, Palau and Capo d’Orso, home to the well-known bear-shaped rock.

Return to the port is planned between 16:30 and 17:00.

The order of visits and the programme may change.

Regulations of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park

Please find below the rules and restrictions set forth for this season by the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. These measures aim to preserve the natural beauty of the area and ensure a sustainable experience for all visitors.

  • To help prevent beach erosion, passengers arriving via authorized transport vessels are not permitted to bring bags, backpacks, coolers, or inflatable items onto the beach, except for swimming aids (e.g., armbands, small kickboards, flotation rings).
  • Only small waist bags or pouches for carrying personal belongings are allowed.
  • The consumption of food on the beach and interaction with wildlife are strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking is not permitted on the beaches under any circumstances.
  • The use of beach umbrellas is restricted to families with young children (up to 10 years old), senior citizens over 65 years of age, and individuals with certified medical needs.
  • Passengers are strongly encouraged to use beach mats when placing towels on the sand to minimize direct contact. As part of an experimental initiative, towels made from sand-repellent materials (such as microfiber) are permitted.
  • After each beach stop, all guests are required to rinse off any sand from their legs and feet using the freshwater hose system available on board each vessel before reboarding.
  • We kindly ask for your support in promoting waste separation on board. Clearly labeled containers will be available for different types of waste, accompanied by informative signage. Ashtrays will also be provided for the proper disposal of cigarettes and cigars.
  • The disposal of any kind of waste into the sea is strictly prohibited.
  • In accordance with the environmental policies of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, all vessels participating in excursions are committed to using compostable and biodegradable materials (e.g., plates, cups, cutlery). Additionally, the use of music and public address systems will be kept to a respectful volume, except in the case of emergency announcements.
