Program Description

Discover two of Sicily's most iconic attractions on this full-day excursion. Visit Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, and explore the charming town of Taormina, renowned for its breathtaking coastal setting, historic streets and spectacular views.

Travelling by comfortable coach through Sicily's stunning landscapes, you will reach an altitude of approximately 1,900 metres on the slopes of Mount Etna. There will be time to admire the unique volcanic scenery, take memorable photographs or relax at one of the local cafés. Those wishing to explore further may choose an optional cable car ride, or a cable car and 4x4 vehicle experience to reach higher altitudes (available at an additional cost). These activities are subject to weather conditions and volcanic activity.

In the afternoon, continue to Taormina, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean". This picturesque town is famous for its charming streets, Mediterranean gardens, elegant historic buildings and breathtaking views overlooking both the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna.

Before arrival, your tour leader will provide useful information to help you make the most of your free time in the historic centre. You may choose to visit the famous Ancient Greek Theatre (entrance fee not included), browse the local boutiques, relax at one of the cafés or simply soak up the unique atmosphere of one of Sicily's most beautiful towns. There will also be time to enjoy lunch at your own expense.

Return to the hotel is scheduled for the late afternoon.
