Program Description

Transfer from the hotel to the village of Majengo, Kikambala. The first point of the tour is the local market, followed by a short walk to the picturesque village, a chance to see how the local people live. With the permission of the villager, it is possible to enter the farmhouse and see the inside of the hut where the locals live. Moving on to the second village, a chance to see how crops are grown –  coconuts, cashew nuts, mangoes or oranges. During the visit to the village – a demonstration of the preparation of coconut thatch (makuti) from dried coconut leaves, used to cover the roof. Moving on to the next village where you can try ugali - cornmeal cooked in water. Demonstration of coconut milk extraction and its use for cooking spinach. Free time to relax.  Tasting of madafu - coconut and mnazi - local wine. Then transfer to Mombasa for lunch. Free time. Return to hotels.
