Day 1 - Transfer from the airport. Hotel accommodation (starts from approx. 15:00). In the evening, a 3-course dinner in a medieval-style restaurant.
Day 2 - Breakfast. Guided walk (approx. 3 hours). On the way: UNESCO World Heritage Site, beautiful views on the banks of the Daugava River and Art Nouveau, full of Art Nouveau buildings. It is the largest centre of this type of architecture in Europe. There will also be an opportunity to get acquainted with traditional medieval crafts, basilicas, cathedrals and historic tenement houses. The program also includes a cruise on the Daugava River with a lecture on the history of Riga (audio guide). After the cruise, free time in the city centre and return to the hotel on your own.
Day 3 - Breakfast at the hotel. Approx. 10.00 a trip to Pilsrundāle and a few-hour tour of the Rundale Palace. Built in the eighteenth century. The beautiful Rundale Palace, once part of the Biron dynasty, is also called the pearl of Baroque and is considered to be one of the most magnificent buildings in Latvia. It was thoroughly renovated in the early 90's and nowadays 43 rooms are available for tourists. Around the palace there are magnificent French gardens, which are also part of the sightseeing program. Around 16.00 hrs. return to the hotel.
Day 4 - Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out until 11:00 a.m. Transfer to the airport.
