Nosy Iranja looks stunning in every photo, and even more so in reality. Located about 50 km from Nosy Be, it remains untouched by mass tourism. The island is made up of two islets connected by a 2-kilometre sandy sandbank.
From Nosy Be, a speedboat takes you to this paradise spot. Even the journey is interesting, with views of the Mozambique Channel in countless shades of blue and the surrounding greenery.
Once there, you’ll have time to explore the island. Strolling through lush greenery, you’ll visit a local nature reserve, home to sea turtles and coconut crabs. You will also have the opportunity to view the lighthouse and learn about the lives of local fishermen.
The highlight of the day is a walk across the sandbank - an unforgettable sight, with the ocean stretching out on both sides and soft white sand beneath your feet. It is possible to pass under appropriate water conditions and weather.
After the active beginning of the excursion, it’s time to relax, swim in turquoise waters, and enjoy lunch on the beach, feeling the fine sand under your feet.
In the end, you will return to Nosy Be by speedboat, bringing back unique experiences.
