Program Description

A half day not to be missed. Our first stop will be Pico dos Barcelos with 360º views of Funchal valley and after a stop there we make our way up to Eira do Serrado. Fantastic views on the way up but the highlight is the view from there down to the Nun´s Valley (Curral das Freiras ) which is a small village in the crater of an extinct volcano. This was where the Nun´s from Funchal used to hide from pirates when they were attacking the city in the 16th century. After tasting a typical drink from that area – Ginga we head to Cabo Girão. This is the world´s second highest sea cliff and there you find the glass walkway offering incredible views of the Madeira coastline, Funchal and Camara de Lobos. You will take great photos from this Skywalk.
