Program Description

Transfer from the hotel by 4x4 vehicle through the breathtaking south-western region of Madeira. The open-top off-road vehicle provides an incredible experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the landscapes and sounds of nature. Arrival at Cascata dos Anjos, also known as Anjos Falls, which plunges down the rugged cliffs into a tranquil natural pool surrounded by lush vegetation. Next, a tour of Madeira's vibrant banana plantation, where you will see the lush fields and learn about the island's agricultural heritage. A walk among the rows of banana trees reveals the meticulous care with which this tropical fruit is cultivated and is the ideal opportunity to meet local farmers, who are happy to talk about their experiences and allow you to understand the whole process, from cultivation to harvest. Next, a visit to a local distillery where you can enjoy the flavours of Madeira's famous rums and gins, while also observing the craftsmanship with which each bottle is made. Varying in distinct aromas and flavours, the drinks are the result of a skilful combination of plants and local ingredients. Next, drive to the west side of Madeira, to beautiful Ponta do Pargo and the iconic lighthouse located there. Here you can admire mesmerising panoramic views of the mighty Atlantic Ocean, which crashes against the cliffs with a noise. Drive to the charming fishing village of Paul do Mar, where time has come to a standstill. Wandering through the narrow cobbled streets allows you to soak up the authentic atmosphere of this coastal community. Here you can see the local fishermen at work and relax on the quiet beach, admiring the surrounding views and listening to the sound of the sea. Finally, visit the picturesque village of Jardim do Mar and explore the vibrantly coloured terraced gardens that slope down the cliffs. Enjoy views of the village and the rugged coastline, where the wild beauty of the ocean meets the dramatic cliffs. Transfer back to hotels.
