Program Description

The tour begins with hotel pickup, followed by a full-day exploration of Mauritius. The journey starts in the capital, Port Louis, with a visit to Fort Adelaide, offering stunning views of the city skyline and port. Next, enjoy a guided walk through the bustling city center, passing landmarks such as Saint Louis Cathedral, the Supreme Court, the Municipal Theater, Poncini, Parliament, Place d'Armes, and Government House. The walk concludes at the central market, where you can browse and purchase fresh tropical fruits, vegetables, and local handicrafts. The next stop is the modern Caudan Waterfront shopping center, known for its elegant architecture and vibrant atmosphere. From there, the tour heads to Pamplemousses for a visit to L’Aventure du Sucre, a former sugar factory transformed into a museum. This visit provides a fascinating insight into the historical and cultural significance of sugar production in Mauritius. A delicious lunch at the museum adds to the experience. The day continues with a leisurely stroll through the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden. This extraordinary garden, originally developed in the late 18th century by French horticulturist Pierre Poivre, features a diverse collection of plants imported from around the globe. Covering several dozen hectares, the garden is a haven for nature lovers and an ideal spot for relaxation. The tour concludes with a return transfer to your hotel.
