Program Description
Discover the cultural and natural highlights of the Oaxaca region on a tour combining archaeological sites, traditional crafts and spectacular landscapes. Explore places that offer an insight into the history and traditions of southern Mexico.
The first stop is Árbol del Tule, an impressive tree renowned for its exceptionally large trunk. Continue to Teotitlán del Valle, where you will meet local artisans and discover traditional craftsmanship and techniques.
Next, visit the Mitla Archaeological Zone, one of the region's most important pre-Hispanic sites. Continue to Hierve el Agua to admire its extraordinary rock formations resembling waterfalls and its natural mineral pools.
The experience is completed with a visit to a traditional mezcal distillery, where you will learn about the production of this iconic Mexican spirit and its importance to local culture. There will also be an opportunity to discover traditional handicrafts and local flavours.
