Program Description

An emotionally powerful and deeply meaningful journey awaits you to a place that has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. Auschwitz-Birkenau was a former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, established in 1940 on the outskirts of Oświęcim, and today serves as a Memorial Site dedicated to remembrance and reflection on the tragic history of the 20th century.

During your visit, you will explore the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 as the only German Nazi concentration camp on the list. The tour takes place in organised groups with an experienced educator-guide and lasts approximately 3.5 hours. The narration helps you better understand the scale of the tragedy, the fate of the victims, and the functioning of the camp.

The program includes a visit to the former main camp, Auschwitz I, where you will see the permanent exhibition and preserved camp buildings. You will then continue to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, where you will find prisoner barracks, the unloading ramp, and the ruins of gas chambers and crematoria II or III. Each of these places stands as a powerful testimony to history and invites deep reflection.

The tour includes private transfer from Kraków and back, ensuring comfort and a smooth journey. Thanks to pre-booked entrance tickets, you don't have to wait in long queues, so you can focus entirely on the visit and the significance of this place.

The order of sightseeing and the program may be subject to change.
