See and enjoy the real Algarve! If it’s fun, excitement and adventure you’re looking for.....then look no further! Let us take you off the beaten track but straight into the heart of the Algarve! Travelling in a convoy of 4 x 4 jeeps we go up hills and down dales, crossing streams and traversing meadows in a roller-coaster ride through the countryside. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of an area almost untouched by time. Our journey will take us to some of the most interesting places in the Algarve - but not by roads you’ll find marked on any map! We will follow dirt tracks to places where you can see old traditions and customs still in practice and small villages. Breathe the pure air rich with the scents of local herbs and plants and admire the spectacular views. Smell the scent of the eucalyptus trees and learn the secrets of harvesting the ubiquitous cork trees. We will visit a small local distillery where the brave can sample “medronho” - a very potent local drink and where you can see honey being made in the old way. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Major sights: Loulé, Querença Salir, Barranco do Velho, Alte.
