Program Description

Lisbon captivates visitors with its unique blend of history, charming neighbourhoods and the atmosphere of a city that for centuries stood at the centre of Portuguese exploration. This journey is filled with iconic landmarks, local flavours and places where you can truly experience the spirit of Portugal.

The tour begins in the historic Belém district, located on the banks of the Tagus River. It was from here that Portuguese sailors once set off on their great maritime expeditions, discovering unknown parts of the world. You will visit the impressive Jerónimos Monastery, considered one of the finest examples of Manueline architecture and one of Portugal’s most important landmarks. You will also see the famous Belém Tower, which for centuries protected the entrance to Lisbon’s harbour and remains one of the city’s most recognisable symbols.

There will also be time for a sweet local tradition. During the tour, you will taste the famous Pastel de Belém - a traditional Portuguese custard tart prepared according to the original recipe dating back to 1837. It is one of Lisbon’s most iconic flavours and an essential part of every visit to the Portuguese capital. Guests will receive the pastries from the guide on the bus.

Next, you will head into the heart of the city to explore the atmospheric districts of Baixa, Chiado and the historic Alfama. Walking through elegant squares, narrow streets and historic alleyways, you will experience the unique atmosphere of Lisbon, filled with light, music and the unmistakable Portuguese feeling known as “saudade”. Along the way, you will see the monumental Praça do Comércio, opening towards the Tagus River, the artistic corners of Chiado and the traditional streets of Alfama - the oldest and one of the most characteristic districts of Lisbon.

The programme also includes a drive across the impressive Vasco da Gama Bridge, one of the longest bridges in Europe. The route offers spectacular panoramic views over the Tagus estuary and the Lisbon skyline.

There will also be free time during the trip for individual sightseeing, shopping or relaxing in one of Lisbon’s charming cafés.

The order of sightseeing and the programme may be subject to change.

The tour is organized subject to a minimum number of participants (min. 20 pax).

*The tour is not recommended for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

It provided a wealth of knowledge and beautiful experiences. However, it wasn`t enough for me. One day wasn`t enough. I`m left wanting more. I definitely need to return to Lisbon.

The tour was excellently organized. The most important monuments were shown. Marta, the resident, provided us with the most important information. I recommend it.
