Program Description
The Jerónimos Monastery is a National Monument and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Step inside this remarkable historic complex and explore its architecture and spaces, which reflect Portugal’s cultural identity and heritage.
Admire the frescoed vaulted ceilings and take a moment to appreciate the elegant 16th-century cloister. You can also visit the former monks’ refectory and discover more about the monastery’s history.
The visit offers an opportunity to explore one of Lisbon’s important historic landmarks while enjoying views over the Tagus River from the monastery grounds.

Important information
- Entry is allowed up to 1 hour after the selected timeslot, subject to visitor volume.
- Please be aware that entry queues may occur, despite holding a timed ticket.
- Some areas of the venue may be closed due to renovation works.
- Show your smartphone ticket at the entrance. There is no need to collect tickets at the Museum of Archaeology - with your e-ticket, you can go directly to the Monastery entrance.
- Even with a reserved timeslot, long waiting times outside the venue may occur, especially during the high season.
- Bring water, sunscreen, a hat or rain gear, depending on the weather, as waiting times outside may exceed 1 hour.
- Eating and smoking are not permitted inside.
