The tour begins with a visit to the Manasija Monastery, one of the most important and beautiful Serbian monasteries. Built between 1406 and 1418, surrounded by walls and towers that were once used to defend against the Turks. In the 15th century the monastery was considered one of the most important centres of Serbian culture and spirituality. Here you can find the remains of the famous Resava school and an Orthodox church with beautiful medieval frescoes. Then you will go to the Resava Cave, which was built about 80 million years ago. This beautiful karst work of nature was not explored until 1962 and can be visited since 1972. - For tourists, 800 m of the route from the examined 2830 m (total length of the corridors is 4.5 km) is available for tourists. It is the most visited cave in Serbia (about 50 thousand tourists a year). Another point is Lisine Waterfall (in eastern Serbia, on the slopes of Beljanica Mountain), a place surrounded by lush forests, river valleys, caves and beautiful mountains Kucaj. Then lunch at the local restaurant. Finally, the Museum of Naive and Marginal Art in Jagodina, founded in 1960, where you can see mainly interesting works of Yugoslavian and Serbian artists (a total of about 2500 paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphics). The constant yearly temperature in the cave is very low, around 7-8 degrees Celsius. Comfortable non-slippery shoes and warm jumpers / jackets are recommended.
