Bizelsjko is another wine region in Slovenia, mainly famous for its sparkling wines. However, other sorts thrive in this part, which has one of the kindest climates in the country. Some of the wineries hide another ethnology gem - repnice cellars, with centuries long tradition which was revived in the last couple of decades. Repnice cellars is a peculiarity of Bizeljsko region and was once used to store turnips and now more commonly for wine storage.
