Program Description

See Barcelona from a completely different perspective on a ride aboard the Montjuïc Cable Car. The 750-metre route takes you up Montjuïc hill, offering views over the city, harbour and coastline.

The Montjuïc Cable Car route starts at Parc de Montjuïc. From here, you will travel towards the top while enjoying a bird's-eye view of Barcelona along the way. The cable car route also includes Miramar and Castell de Montjuïc, allowing you to discover different parts of the hill.

During the ride, try to spot some of the city's most distinctive landmarks, such as the Sagrada Família and Torre Glòries. From above, you can also enjoy views of the harbour and coastline, giving you another perspective on Barcelona.

At the top of the hill, you will find Montjuïc Castle - a 17th-century fortress overlooking the city. The area is also home to important cultural and artistic attractions, including Fundació Joan Miró, Poble Espanyol and Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.

  • Don't go to the cable car at the port. If you take the funicular at Paral·lel metro station, it'll take you to the first Montjuïc cable car station – which is the best way to get to the top of the hill
