Program Description
Discover elBulli1846, a unique museum created on the site of the legendary Michelin-starred elBulli restaurant. In the picturesque surroundings of Cala Montjoi, you will explore its story and see how creativity and an unconventional approach to cooking helped transform modern gastronomy.
Covering almost 4,000 m², the museum is dedicated to the history of the restaurant and the work of its renowned chef, Ferran Adrià. elBulli became famous around the world for its innovative approach to cuisine, and today you can discover its legacy through a collection of installations and exhibits showcasing the evolution of this extraordinary place.
During your visit, you will explore 69 audiovisual installations that reveal the creative process and working methods behind elBulli. You will learn how the team experimented with ingredients, techniques and presentation to develop ideas and dishes that gained international recognition.
One of the highlights of the museum is the reconstruction of the original elBulli dining room. It offers a glimpse into the space where Ferran Adrià and his team brought their culinary ideas to life. You will also learn more about the people behind the restaurant and discover projects developed by elBullifoundation, including Bullipedia and elBulliDNA.
A visit to elBulli1846 is not a traditional dining experience - food from the former restaurant is not served here. Instead, you will discover its story, explore the team’s way of thinking and learn more about the ideas that made elBulli one of the most influential names in modern gastronomy.
