Program Description

It’s easy to lose yourself in Frigiliana - in the best possible way - among the cobbled streets, hidden corners and squares that lead deeper into one of Andalusia’s most distinctive towns. Later, Nerja awaits, with time to enjoy its coastal atmosphere, before you head underground into the Nerja Caves, where nature has been shaping monumental rock formations for thousands of years.

Your visit to Frigiliana begins with a walk through its cobbled streets, where you’ll discover the town’s history and cultural heritage while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding area. You’ll also have some time to explore Frigiliana on your own, at your own pace.

Next, you’ll head to Nerja, where you can spend your free time however you like. Wander through the town, relax on the beach, browse a local market or stop for a traditional meal at an Andalusian restaurant. It’s a chance to soak up the atmosphere of this coastal town before the experience takes you into a completely different setting.

The Nerja Caves are remarkable for the sheer scale of their underground chambers. You’ll explore vast spaces filled with stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over thousands of years. Their shapes and sizes create a natural landscape unlike anything you’ll see above ground.

Some of the formations are among the tallest of their kind in the world, while the caves themselves are also of archaeological significance and form part of Spain’s historic heritage.

Frigiliana, Nerja and the Nerja Caves reveal three different sides of Andalusia - its local character, coastal atmosphere and extraordinary natural heritage. Together, they make for a day where you’ll discover far more than just a series of places on the map.
