Program Description

Pick up from hotels and drive to Kanneliya village, to the guide's property where kithul syroup is produced. There is a toddy shop that has been in operation for 40 years. At the site, the guide will tell you how the sap of the kithul tree flower is boiled to make the syroup, and then fermented to create the popular local liquor known as toddy.   

Depending on the season and time of day, a possible guided tour to the nearby forest to collect the kithul flower juice and/or jackfruit needed to prepare the regional dish. Finally, free time for swimming in the local river or tasting kithul syroup, toddy alcohol and a dish prepared with jackfruit.
