Early in the morning, we will depart for the town of Kuraburi to take part in the morning offerings to the monks – a unique ritual that takes place in the glow of the rising sun. This is followed by a visit to the local market, where you can enjoy a traditional Thai breakfast, such as sweet “patongko” doughnuts or aromatic rice soup, while getting to know the local flavors and atmosphere.
The next item on the agenda is a visit to a temple, where participants receive a blessing in exchange for their offerings. During the tour, information is provided about the life of monks and the importance of Buddhism in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
At the end of the day, there is a boat trip through the mangroves to a historic shipyard, built by order of the king after the tsunami. The trip ends with a traditional meal with a local family.
The program is indicative, and the order of attractions and the time of their implementation may change depending on local conditions, weather, or factors related to the safety of participants.
