Program Description

The history of the city and region of Kayseri dates back to ancient times, when it was known as the Christian metropolis of Caesarea Cappadocia and the seat of Bishop Basil the Great. Situated on the Silk Road, Kayseri was a powerful and rich city. The region is still a lot of monuments from the times of the Seljuk Turks and Ottomans and the huge underground cities, serving the first Christians as a shelter in times of persecution.

Visit to Kurşunlu Cami, one of the most beautiful mosques in Kayseri, designed by the famous architect Sinan Hoca Mimar. Then free time at the Grand Bazaar, the second largest in Turkey. 2 hours of free time for shopping. Lunch in local restaurant. Last stop - turkish delight shop. Return to hotels.
