Program Description

An excursion to the Mekong Delta is a unique opportunity to experience the heart of Vietnam, where daily life flows along rivers, canals, and lush islands.

Your tour begins with a hotel pick-up and transfer to My Tho, a charming city on the Mekong River. Along the way, you’ll stop briefly to admire the endless green rice fields, one of Vietnam’s most iconic landscapes.

The first stop is the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a majestic Buddhist temple set amidst lush gardens, vibrant flowers, and bonsai trees. You’ll see a giant statue of the Buddha and intricate temple decorations.

Next, you’ll board a boat and cruise along the Tien River, passing four mythical islands named Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix. On Dragon Island, you’ll enjoy tropical scenery, taste local delicacies with honey tea, and listen to traditional Đờn ca tài tử music - part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.

You’ll then hop on a sampan, a narrow wooden boat rowed by hand, gliding through coconut-lined canals to reach Phoenix Island. There, you’ll visit a coconut candy workshop and watch how these famous sweets are made step by step.

To end the day, enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, sampling authentic dishes before heading back. After the meal, you’ll return by boat to the pier and then by bus to Ho Chi Minh City and your hotel.

Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
