Half-day trip to Berat - the city of a thousand windows and UNESCO heritage

This half-day excursion is a perfect opportunity to discover one of the most charming and historic towns in Albania. Berat, known as the “city of a thousand windows”, impresses visitors with its unique architecture, cobbled streets and unforgettable atmosphere. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After pick-up from the meeting point, you will travel towards Berat - one of the oldest towns in Albania, with a history dating back more than 2,400 years. As you explore the city, you will discover its most important landmarks and learn about the fascinating history of a place where different cultures and religions have coexisted for centuries.

The programme also includes a visit to the castle overlooking the town. From its walls, you can admire stunning views of the historic districts of Mangalemi and Gorica, separated by the Osum River. The town’s famous white houses with countless windows gave Berat its well-known nickname.

After sightseeing, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace, stroll through its atmospheric streets or buy local souvenirs. At the end of the excursion, a traditional meal in one of the local restaurants is planned, giving you the opportunity to discover the flavours of Albanian cuisine and enjoy the local atmosphere.
