Program Description
Step away from the usual tourist routes and discover the authentic character of Cyprus on a jeep safari through the Paphos countryside. Explore traditional villages, meet the island's rich cultural heritage and enjoy local flavours while travelling through charming rural landscapes and beautiful coastal scenery.
The journey introduces you to some of the region's most recognisable landmarks, including the Sea Caves and the famous EDRO III shipwreck. Passing through the characteristic banana plantations, continue towards Agios Georgios, home to a beautiful Greek Orthodox church dedicated to Saint George. From here, admire magnificent views stretching across the Mediterranean coastline.
Experience a different side of the island as your jeep navigates the rugged landscapes of Moundiko Gorge. The route then leads to Kathikas, a traditional village with a welcoming atmosphere, and the Akamas Nature Visitor Centre, where you can learn about the distinctive plants and wildlife of the peninsula.
Local traditions take centre stage in Pano Arodes, a picturesque village where you can discover the art of preparing traditional Cypriot coffee brewed in hot sand. In Droushia, enjoy a tasting of regional cheeses, offering a delicious introduction to the island's culinary heritage. The cheese tasting is included in the tour price.
If you wish, you can also stop for a traditional Cypriot lunch at a village tavern, where local dishes are served in a welcoming setting. Lunch is optional and available at an additional cost.
More than a sightseeing excursion, this journey offers a closer look at everyday life in rural Cyprus, where traditional flavours, historic villages and natural landscapes come together to create a memorable cultural experience.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.
