Program Description
What if, while exploring Athens, you suddenly found yourself transported 2,500 years back in time? At Koilon Theatre, this imaginative scenario comes to life. Together with an unfortunate tourist, you’ll step into the world of the ancient Greeks, where mythology, history and modern humour come together in an entertaining and unexpected way.
The performance takes place beneath the Acropolis, in a setting that has been at the heart of historic Athens for centuries. For one hour, you’ll follow the adventures of a modern-day traveller trying to find his way through a world filled with gods, heroes and legendary characters. Each scene brings amusing misunderstandings, unexpected twists and offers a fresh perspective on some of Greece's best-known myths.
Expect colourful costumes, witty dialogue and fascinating historical insights that make the world of ancient Greece easy to discover and enjoy. This light-hearted performance is suitable for both adults and younger audiences, offering plenty of laughs along the way.
