Program Description
Depart from your hotel and head to Haller Park in Mombasa, an ecological park created on the site of former limestone quarries. What was once an industrial wasteland has been transformed into a thriving area where forests, grasslands and ponds provide a habitat for a variety of plant and animal species.
Follow the park’s walking trails and look out for hippos, giraffes, antelopes and buffalo, as well as smaller mammals. The park is also home to numerous bird species, including eagles, kingfishers, storks, ibises, owls and herons.
During your visit, explore different areas of the park, including the game sanctuary, reptile park, fish farm, crocodile enclosures, giraffe viewing area and palm gardens. One of the highlights is the afternoon animal feeding, giving you the chance to observe the animals as they are fed.
After your visit to Haller Park, return to your hotel.
