Madeira Buggy tour

The trail will start near Levada do Castelejo, where you can see the imposing rock of Penha d'Águia. Then, drive through the forest road of Serra das Funduras, where there is an amazing laurel forest, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and included in the European network of sites of importance community-Natura 2000 Network. Along the trail through this forest you can admire the extraordinary beauty of the flora and fauna endemic to the island of Madeira.  The greenery of the trees, the melodious singing of the birds and the whole environment is almost magical and fantasy.  Enjoy the nature while driving and take advantage of the places to relax a little.  Along the way you will find “Casa das Funduras”, a beautiful country house that supports the forestry activities in the area.  This trail is one of the most exciting that a driver has to take and overcome all obstacles on the ground the off-road trail. The rout ends at the Portela viewpoint, where you can admire the mountain and sea and see the Porto Cruz beach and village.
