Program Description
Discover Monte Albán, one of the most important archaeological sites in Mesoamerica, located on a hilltop overlooking the Oaxaca Valley. Once the capital of the Zapotec civilisation, the site has a history stretching back more than 2,000 years.
As you explore the site, discover temples, ceremonial plazas and intricately carved monuments that reflect Monte Albán's importance as a political and cultural centre. Walk through the remains of the ancient city and learn more about the layout, history and legacy of the Zapotec civilisation.
