The highlight of the tour is the Monte Albán Archaeological Zone, the former capital of the Zapotec civilisation and one of the oldest and most important archaeological sites in Mesoamerica. During approximately three hours of guided exploration, learn about the history of this ancient city and discover its impressive ruins.
Continue to Arrazola, where you will discover the traditional art of making alebrijes – colourful handmade figures. Watch local artisans demonstrate how the figures are carved and then decorated with distinctive painted patterns.
