Program Description

Visit the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo and discover the inspiring stories of people who have helped shape a more peaceful world. This modern, interactive museum explores the history of the Nobel Peace Prize while encouraging reflection on peace, human rights and conflict resolution.

During your visit, explore interactive exhibitions dedicated to Alfred Nobel, the history of the Nobel Peace Prize and its remarkable laureates. The centre is also recognised for its documentary photography exhibitions and serves as an important venue for public discussions on peace, democracy and global challenges.

Among the permanent exhibitions is the Nobel Garden, where every Nobel Peace Prize laureate is presented on individual interactive screens surrounded by a thousand symbolic lights. You will also visit the Nobel Chamber, where you can see an authentic Nobel Peace Prize medal.

This unique experience combines history, innovation and inspiring stories of individuals whose achievements continue to influence the world today.

  • Large bags, backpacks and personal strollers are not allowed inside the museum. Lockers and baby strollers are available on site.
  • Children under 18 years of age enter free of charge – please select a free ticket when booking.
  • Show your smartphone ticket at the entrance to the Nobel Peace Center.
  • A free online audio guide is available during your visit.
