Program Description
How is Estrella Damm, a beer brewed in Spain since 1876, made? During a visit to the El Prat de Llobregat brewery, located near Barcelona, you'll learn about the brewing traditions and history behind this popular Mediterranean lager. A guided tour will give you an insight into what shapes its flavour and how brewing techniques have evolved over the years.
The brand's story began with Melanie and August Kuentzmann Damm, who established a family brewing tradition. During the visit, you'll hear how the business developed over the generations and how Estrella Damm became part of Catalan culture.
As you explore the Estrella Damm brewery, your guide will explain the different stages of beer production, from selecting ingredients to bottling. The tour includes the brewhouse, fermentation tanks and storage areas. You'll also learn how fermentation works and why it plays such an important role in creating the lager's flavour.
This experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at a well-known beer brand and shows how brewing heritage meets modern production techniques.
