Program Description
Park Güell in Barcelona is one of Antoni Gaudí’s most recognisable works and a place where architecture blends naturally with its surroundings. With a timed-entry ticket, you can begin your visit smoothly, while a local guide introduces you to the park’s history and the ideas behind its distinctive design.
As you walk through the park, you will see imaginative forms characteristic of Catalan Modernism. Your guide will tell you more about Gaudí’s work and explain the inspiration behind the unusual colours, details and architectural solutions that appear throughout the site.
You will stroll through green gardens and pathways decorated with colourful mosaics, passing some of the park’s most famous landmarks along the way. One of them is the iconic Salamander, covered in vibrant trencadís mosaic and now one of the best-known symbols of Barcelona.
Another highlight is the Mediterranean Terrace, which offers panoramic views over the city. It is a great opportunity to admire Barcelona from above and see how Gaudí adapted his designs to the natural landscape of Carmel Hill.
During the tour, you will also learn about the architect’s varied influences, from Romanesque and Gothic art to Moorish motifs. With the guide’s commentary, it becomes easier to notice the details that make Park Güell much more than just a city park.

Important information
- The meeting point is at Carrer de Carmel 23. Your guide will be waiting on the opposite side of the road from the Park Güell car park and will be wearing a purple Crown Tours T-shirt or jacket.
- Due to the strict entrance time, late arrivals may not be able to join the tour.
- Pets, smoking, alcohol, drugs, large luggage, large bags and pushchairs are not allowed during the tour.
